This carriage may have been used by someone who had difficulties walking and was used for making short journeys around a park or estate, pulled by a small pony. It was made in the late 19^th century by Ward of Tottenham Court Road, London. Although this type of vehicle is known as an ‘Invalid Carriage’, this is no longer a term which would be used today.
